The eternal Roland Fischnaller never ceases to amaze. At 42 years and 3 months old, the South Tyrolean snowboarder won the parallel giant slalom of the World Cup in Cortina d’Ampezzo for the fifth time. Already triumphant in 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020, the captain of the Italian national team prevailed by just 13 cents over the Austrian Andreas Prommegger thus taking his revenge just two days after the Carezza match. That of Cortina for Fischnaller is the 20th victory (47 overall podiums) in the Cup 12 years after the first (December 10, 2010 in Limone Piemonte in slalom).
In his career he lacks only the Olympic medal
In his career ‘Fisch’ has won almost everything from world gold to the overall world cup but the Olympic medal is missing from his bulletin board.
