The discussion was born between the presidents of Lazio and Naples at the beginning of the assembly for the election of Rebecca Corsi, daughter of the president of Empoli, as a non-independent director

Turbulent afternoon in the headquarters of the League of A. A furious quarrel between the president of Napoli Aurelio De Laurentiis with the number one of Lazio Claudio Lotito led to the flight of seven clubs before the official start of the meeting. Milan, Juventus, Inter. Rome, Naples, Fiorentina and Monza are not participating in the meeting directed by Lorenzo Casini who, in the presence of the quorum, kicked off the meeting (Turin was absent from the start). The storm that broke out during the discussion of the first item on the agenda, namely the election of the non-independent director.

In the first two votes Rebecca Corsi, daughter of the president of Empoli, had not reached the necessary quorum and hoped today with the threshold lowered to 11 votes to get to the white smoke. Claudio Lotito, with the attitude of a father who owns the corridors of via Rosellini, carried out the electoral campaign for lady Corsi in a somewhat too blatant way. An attitude that in fact provoked the fury of De Laurentiis who took it out on Lotito himself and then on Luca Lotti, the former Minister of Sport and now a consultant to Empoli. In practice, the big ones would have liked the last seat in the Lega council to be destined for the exponent of a big one and not for the group of medium-small clubs. Amid shouts and screams, De Laurentiis left the meeting and with him the presidents of six other companies more in disagreement with Lotito’s modus operandi than with Rebecca Corsi.
