Serie B, Sudtirol extends Reggina. Perugia hits Bari

Bad stop for Bari, beaten 2-0 at home by Perugia in a match valid for the 22nd day of Serie B. Victory instead for Sudtirol, fourth, who beat second-placed Reggina 2-1. The other results: Brescia-Como 0-1, Cosenza-Parma 1-0, Ternana-Modena 2-1 and Venice-Cittadella 1-1.

Bari-Perugia 0-2

Castori’s big hit from Perugia who went to San Nicola 2-0 with a brace from Di Serio. Orphaned of the top scorer Cheddira (suspended), Bari didn’t sting and the Umbrians almost took the lead already in the first fraction with a header from Rosi. But it is after the break that Perugia takes on more and more courage: Caprile saves his foot on Iannone and then is pardoned by Santoro. Sudtirol-Reggina 2-1

Reggina runs the risk of losing second place – in cohabitation with Genoa who are facing Pisa – but also of further detaching themselves from leaders Frosinone, engaged on Sunday with Benevento. In Bolzano the hero of the day is Odogwu, who first opens the scoring from a penalty and then, after Menicucci’s equalizer, decides the match with a great header in the 40th minute of the second half.

Cosenza-Parma 1-0

Cosenza finds three very heavy points in the fight for salvation, beating Parma 1-0 with an opening goal by Florenzi. The midfielder, on Marras’s back pass, jumped his man and closed diagonally behind Chichizola. On the other hand, Micai opposed Inglese (16′) and, above all, Vazquez (46′). Ternana-Modena 2-1

The Umbrians built up their victory in the first half by taking the lead in the 7th minute with Ghiringhelli (scoring after two years) and Favilli scoring for the fifth time in the league. Before the break, the Var canceled Ghiringhelli’s brace for offside by Favilli. At the start of the second half, Tesser’s substitutions boosted Modena who shortened from the penalty spot with Falcinelli.

Brescia-Como 0-1

Como wins the salvation derby against Brescia and overtakes them in the standings. The Clotet cure doesn’t work, but Longo’s cure does. Ironically, the Brescian decides like Baselli, who entered the second half. In the ranks of Brescia only Rodriguez is saved for a team in free fall. Venice-Cittadella 1-1

The derby between Venice-Cittadella ends 1-1: a result fixed by two penalties in the space of nine minutes, first with Pohjanpalo and then Antonucci. We saw a match with many fouls, fragmented, which confirmed Venice’s problems in internal challenges, with just two victories since the beginning of the season. Kastrati did very well between the Citadel, while the Haps match lasted just 7 minutes: red seen in the Var for a foul away from the ball.
