At the Reggina two points in the standings are returned. The club led by Philip Inzaghilast April 17, had been sanctioned with three penalty points, to which another four were added on May 4, for a total of seven points to be served in the current season of B series. The sentences had arrived with reference to the non-payment of several months’ salaries towards some members. The Federal Court of Appeal of the Figc, chaired by Mario Luigi Torsello, rejected the complaint presented by the Calabrian company and its legal representative Paolo Castaldi on April 24 regarding the three-point penalty, however partially accepting the one presented by the same on May 8 against the further subtraction of four points. Overall, therefore, the penalty points against the amaranth club to be served in the current season go from seven to five. After the new sentence, Reggina – 47 points in the standings – rises to eighth place, the last useful place to access the play-offs.
