Serie B: Frosinone draws with Sudtirol, Genoa moves to Cittadella. Both see the A

Frosinone is ever closer to returning to Serie A but must postpone the arithmetical certainty of promotion after a goalless draw at home with Sudtirol. Genoa is also close to the finish line, which passes to Cittadella. In the playoff zone, Parma gets three precious points against Cagliari. The Modena-Spal and Perugia-Cosenza matches end without goals, equal (but 1-1) between Como and Ascoli.

Frosinone-South Tyrol 0-0

The key challenge of the Frosinone and Sudtirol round ends in a draw. However, Ciociari is getting closer and closer to A. The first fraction sees the hosts manage the ball of the game without however being able to put the South Tyrolean rearguard in great difficulty. In the 7th minute Mazzitelli tries a shot from the edge that touches the post. In the 35th minute Insigne’s goal was disallowed due to a previous check with his arm; the guests react and immediately after Mazzocchi tries a shot from the edge that goes wide. The greatest opportunity for the canaries comes in the 39th minute on Moro’s feet who kicks weakly from a very good position. In the second half Grosso tries with a triple substitution to give more strength to him. After a few minutes the newcomer Kone came close to scoring with a shot from the edge at the end of a splendid personal action which Poluzzi was good at opposing with an excellent save. The guest goalkeeper repeats himself immediately after with a shot by Insigne.

Citadel-Genoa 0-1

Genoa wins 1-0 in Cittadella and further consolidates their second place in anticipation of the match against Bari. The hosts start off well and immediately create a couple of chances, the most dangerous being Ambrosino’s shot deflected for a corner. Genoa a little surprised at the start but gradually enters the game, not before being frightened by Antonucci, who is well served by Crociata shoots high.
Then a lot of balance until the 42nd minute: double yellow card for Giraudo and ten hosts. In the immediate recovery, Coda crosses from a few steps away. But grenades react great by responding blow for blow. In the 70th minute the match unlocks: exchange at the limit and Gudmundsson stabs Kastrati. Gudmundsson himself was dangerous from a free-kick shortly after, grazing the post. Many admonitions, perhaps too many from Dionisi, who failed. Parma-Cagliari 2-1

With a penalty converted by Vazquez and a Eurogoal from Man, Parma overturned Cagliari, who finished the positive series of ten days without . Start with shots from Bernabè (9′), Benedyczak Estevez (19′, Radunovic amazing, and 22′) and Lapadula (Buffon did well). Como snatches a 1-1 draw against Ascoli in extremis after a match that they risked throwing away for a long time. The hosts did well in the first half: Cerri’s post and other interesting actions. Spal did better in the first half, with Nainggolan’s right-footed shot and La Mantia’s shot saved by Gagno. Modena replies with a shot on the outside of Falcinelli’s goal. In the second half, with Giovannini for a dull Tremolada, Modena created more and with Ionita hit the post with a 25-metre missile after just 2′. The two close chances for Diaw (parade by Alfonso) and Giovannini (turned just outside) close a fair 0-0.

Perugia-Cosenza 0-0

Draw without goals and without emotions. In the first half, Cosenza had two scoring chances not exploited by Delic, who headed off an assist from Marras, and in the final by Brescianini, who was stopped in front of goal when Kouan shot from stoppage time. Perugia paid for the technical decline of many players and the deterioration of the general athletic condition, allowing the Calabrians to control the match and often act as a throw-in. At the start of the second half, Cosenza engaged Furlan with a shot from Marras and then came close to taking the lead with Delic, shooting after getting rid of three opponents, with the ball on the post. Only with Lisi entering the field did Perugia find greater liveliness, with the winger first sending high with a volley from the center of the box and then calling Micai to tackle with his feet.
