Serie A 2023 calendar, draw and match dates

Juventus will start in Udine, exactly where they finished last season. The 2023-24 Serie A calendar has been launched, starting on the weekend of 19-20 August. The bianconeri will start at the Dacia Arena against the Friulians. Napoli Campione d’Italia will start defending the Scudetto away from newly promoted Frosinone. Lazio second in the standings will start from blocks in Lecce, Inter at San Siro with Monza, Milan in Bologna against the revelation team of the last tournament. Turin at home with another newly promoted player: Claudio Ranieri’s Cagliari who, on matchday 2, will face Inter in Sardinia. For Torino already a demanding challenge with Milan at the ‘Meazza’ in the second match. Bologna will be the turn of Juventus.
On the 3rd matchday the very exciting matches begin: Roma-Milan, Napoli-Lazio and Inter-Fiorentina, revenge of the Italian Cup final for the Viola. The Milan derby is already scheduled for the 4th day: Inter-Milan, once again in the first half of September, like a year ago (Juventus-Lazio also in the same round). The return of the Milanese derby, on the other hand, will even be on the 33rd day, over seven months later, on April 21st: the power of the asymmetrical calendar. The first leg of the Turin derby is in the 8th round at Juventus (October 8), the return in this case too far: April 14 for the 32nd matchday. The Italian derby, on the other hand, will be very close: Juventus-Inter on 26 November (13a), Inter-Juventus on 4 February (23a). The same goes for Juventus-Napoli and Napoli-Juventus between 15a and 27a.
Unlike the last two seasons, in the last two months of the championship there will be many potentially scudetto-worthy matches in the final straight: Inter-Napoli in the 29th minute, Lazio-Juventus and Naples-Atalanta in the 30th minute, Roma-Lazio in the 31st minute, Milan-Inter as said in the 33rd round, Juventus-Milan and Napoli-Roma in the 34th round, Roma-Juventus a week later, Inter-Lazio in the penultimate round. Closing on May 26 with Juventus-Monza, Verona-Inter, Lazio-Sassuolo, Milan-Salernitana, Naples-Lecce and Atalanta-Turin.
