Scardina leaves intensive care. “She’s out of danger”

Daniel Scardina he is out of intensive care and his life is no longer in danger. His brother Giovanni broke the news on Instagram, through the champion’s profile. The boxer had been taken ill at the end of February, during a training session. “Four weeks after that afternoon which turned into the worst nightmare imaginable, today I am here to give you the news that many of us have been waiting for. Daniele’s clinical conditions – his brother wrote – continue to improve and today he was discharged from intensive care to continue the treatment path initially in the ward and later in a specialized rehabilitation center”.

Out of danger of life

The journey will still be very long, but the most complicated moment seems to have passed. “His battle is not over, but we can finally say that his life is no longer in danger. It is impossible to find words to thank the medical team of the Intensive Care Unit of the Humanitas Clinical Institute, who have taken care of Daniele in recent weeks in extraordinary way. Equally impossible – the thanks continue – is to describe the gratitude we feel for our God who accompanied the doctors, Daniele and all of us, in this difficult journey. Thanks also to you for the closeness you have shown us walking to our side in this terrible time, it’s nice to know that so many people have had a thought for my brother. The road is uphill, but we have faith”.
