Sant’Egidio and the State Police together for the protection of minors and the prevention of online crimes

ROME – The appointment is scheduled for tomorrow, Monday 20 February, at 12.30 in the headquarters of the Community of Sant’Egidioin Rome, to sign the memorandum of understanding with which the Community and the State Police will join forces to increase the protection of children and young people against crimes committed online.

The agreement. Among other things, it foresees the development of awareness and information projects and campaigns aimed at a conscious and safe use of digital technology, thanks to the collaboration between the Postal and Communications Police service and the schools of peace of the Community of Sant ‘Egidio, which are free educational centers spread across many Italian cities. The Community of Sant’Egidio. Always engaged in peace education projects aimed at children, the Community created a series ofschools for peace” spread throughout the country. These are completely free centres, which support the child in scholastic integration, offering help to families in difficulty. The schools for peace are animated by the volunteers of the Community and welcome children at risk of illiteracy, child labour, abandonment of the family and early school leaving.
