On the eve of the start of the public debate on the project of the new San Siro (which starts tomorrow and ends on November 18), Milan and Inter take stock of the long process (three years) that has led up to here and illustrate the changes made.
As can be seen from the rendering, the architectural project has also undergone some changes: compared to the “Cathedral” of Popoulus originally proposed, the structure is rounder and less squared, although the concept of glass remains. The capacity will be 60 thousand seats, the height will be about half of the current San Siro (35 meters) and the structure will be completely closed, with the exclusion of the opening above the field which will significantly reduce the noise from outside.
