Rocco Siffredi, the king of porn at the center of the Netflix series “Supersex” – Corriere.it

“I am delighted to be at the center of one series inspired by my life. Usually this kind of projects are dedicated to people who are no longer there. Luckily, I’m still here.” Rocco Siffredi, 58 years oldis kind, witty but firm in declining the invitation to talk about «Supersex», the highly anticipated seven-episode Netflix original series arriving this year. Produced by The Apartment, a company based in Fremantle, and Greenland, which is part of the Banijay group, fictionconceived and written by the screenwriter Francesca Manieri («We Are Who We Are», «The Immensity»), known to be one feminist activisttell the story “surprising and unknown — as the show’s short synopsis reads — of the porn superstar who forever revolutionized the adult film industry.”

The fiction will cross the life of Riffredisuperstar with over 1,500 hardcore films to his credit, “since childhood”, looking at Siffredi’s family, his origins, his relationship with love as well as «the starting point and the context that led him to undertake his journey into pornography». To play the king of porn in fiction is Alessandro Borgo (“The eight mountains”, “On my skin”), for Siffredi “the number one actor in Italy”. Also on set Jasmin Trinca, Adriano Giannini And Saul Nanni, which embodies Siffredi as a boy. The directors are Matthew Oak («Romulus»); Francesco Carrozzini («The hanging sun»); And Frances Mazzoleni (“Sacred Point”).

In an interview given to “FqMagazine” last September, the porn star made it clear that “this beautiful story is inspired by my life but it’s not my life. Everything that will be seen in “Supersex” comes from me, but then Manieri put a lot of herself into it». The screenwriter, talking to our Valerio Cappelli
had underlined that «“Supersex” is the story of a man who employs seven episodes and 350 minutes to say “I love you”», to accept that the demon in his body is compatible with love. The French directorial duo Thierry Demaiziere and Alban Teurlai dedicated the king of porn documentary “Rocco”screened at the 2016 Venice Film Festival.
