by Luca Fraioli

Italia Nostra, as always, stands with the MiC, with the Superintendencies and with the protection system that has governed the transformation of our small country from agricultural to purely industrial for over a century. Today Italia Nostra can only support the political direction of Minister Gennaro Sangiuliano and Undersecretary Vittorio Sgarbi, who are looking for a way to safeguard what remains of the Italian landscape - the countryside, coasts, mountains and historic centers - after the transformation industrial.

Renewables progress slowly, the last battle is against the blades at sea

We also recall that Italy is one of the most virtuous countries in Europe and with a low carbon footprint: a condition that makes the rush to install 70 GW of renewables right on our territory suspicious and incomprehensible.

The Association is for planning and in any case in favor of photovoltaics to be installed on:

  • the roofs of industrial warehouses (about 700,000 according to the WWF);
  • the degraded areas to be reclaimed, corresponding to around 9,000 sq km;
  • the roofs of public and private buildings outside the historical centres, approximately 760 sq km;
  • to which must be added all the maneuvering, parking and storage areas.
