LINA, in Ravello on stage and on display a tribute to Lina Wertmüller one year after her death. In the exhibition at Villa Rufolo (until 8 January) curated by Caterina d’Amico, photographs and stage costumes from the director’s films. While today there will be a vernissage at 6pm with daughter Maria Zulima Job Wertmüller and the curator. While at 8 pm at the Oscar Niemeyer Auditorium in Ravello, Lina’s Rhapsody gala evening. That is: Adventures and Songs by Lina Wertmüller, a musical show created and written by Valerio Ruiz, the highlight of the event. Admission is free. Her friends will be there to pay homage to her: the show will be conducted by Massimo Wertmüller, her songs interpreted by Nicoletta Della Corte, with the extraordinary participation of Isa Danieli. In connection Rita Pavone will reserve a surprise for the public. The arrangements are by the composer Santi Scarcella, who will accompany the artists with his quartet. Many friends and collaborators of a lifetime are expected: among them the director of photography Daniele Nannuzzi (David di Donatello Award) the set designer Valeria Vianello, the composer Lucio Gregoretti, the actors Toni Petruzzi and Sergio Assisi, the sociologist Domenico De Masi.
The director and Ravello
In 1996 Lina Wertmüller filmed in Ravello «Ninfa Plebea», from 2003 to 2010 she directed, together with Remigio Truocchio, the «Cinemusic» section of the Ravello Festival and held the position of advisor of the Ravello Foundation. «One year after her death, the city of Ravello remembers Lina Wertmuller, who for almost ten years saw her as a generous promoter and collaborator of the Ravello Festival – recalls Caterina d’Amico – The photographic exhibition dedicated to her traces the most salient moments of a career that spans over half a century, crowned with global success, and underlines the partnership with the favorite performers: Giancarlo Giannini, Mariangela Melato, Rita Pavone, Isa Danieli, Roberto Herlitzka, Piera Degli Esposti.
