I want to see how they will translate the book by Dan Lyons which will be released in America in March under the title “STFU”, an acronym for “Shut the Fuck Up”. They will probably favor the somewhat Marie Kondo-esque subtitle – “The power to keep quiet in an endlessly noisy world” – betraying the cornerstone of the theory right from the cover, namely that the fewer words the better. Not that Lyons contributes much to his own hypothesis. Being a columnist for Forbes and Newsweek, writing a 270-page book and getting a feature in Time doesn’t seem like the quickest way to advocate for silence. But he is right: never has there been so much talk as nowthere are the podcasts, the tweets, the posts, the meetings, the interviews, the podcasts, the comments, the comments on the comments, more podcasts, more meetings, more podcasts, more and more podcasts, fifty million podcasts: we don’t have it you don’t even listen to a thousand a day for a hundred years, ten of which are to be devoted exclusively to what Prince Harry has to say about the royal family.
