Pichetto Fratin: “We must achieve two-thirds energy production from renewables”

“Today, two thirds of energy production comes from coal and one third from renewables: by 2030 we must reverse this pattern and reach one third from fossil fuels and two thirds from renewables. We will need gas to accompany this change”. This is how Gilberto Pichetto Fratin opened the Green&Blue Festival in the hall of the protomoteca in the Campidoglio. The minister explained how the government intends to use gas as a “vector” for the transition and added that it is necessary “to experiment and do research on nuclear power as well”. According to Pichetto Fratin: “An Earth for all is the one that science will help us to protect”.
