Sar Patrizia Sandretto Re Rebaudengopresident of the Turin Foundation of the same name (which has just celebrated its thirty years of activity with a major exhibition at the Palazzo Strozzi in Florence) to lead the jury which on October 9 at the Museo della Permanente in Milan will nominate the winning work of the 22nd edition of the Cairo Prize, the most authoritative opportunity for young artists in Italy organized by the monthly Arte di Cairo Editore directed by Michele Bonuomo.

With Patrizia Sandretto Re Rebaudengo della award jury (which crowned among others Luca Pignatelli, the Masbedo, Paolo Bini, Namsal Siedlecki and in the 21st edition Giulia Cenci) will include Luca Massimo Barbero, director of the Institute of Art History-Giorgio Cini Foundation of Venice; Mariolina Bassetti, president of Christie’s Italia; Ilaria Bonacossa, director of the National Museum of Digital Art in Milan; Lorenzo Giusti, director of the Modern and Contemporary Art Gallery (Gamec) of Bergamo; Gianfranco Maraniello, director of the modern and contemporary museum pole of the Municipality of Milan and Emilio Isgr, the great artist of erasures.

From 10 to 15 October the exhibition of the 20 works at the Museo della Permanente in Milan will be open (free admission), together with the entire Premio Cairo Collection with all the winning works of the previous editions. Indeed, according to tradition, the winning work of the 2023 edition will become part of the Cairo Prize Collection and its author will be awarded a prize of 25,000 euros. The entire itinerary of the Premio Cairo 2023 will be available on the Instagram page @premiocairo, with all the news, artists, works and updates in real time up to the announcement of the finalists and the highlights of the opening night. The Prize will also be told on Instagram and TikTok also by a team of art-influencers and through the website Premiocairo.com.
