The rich program of the three days of the Paralympic Culture Festival continues (opened on Tuesday by Dacia Maraini) born on the initiative of the Italian Paralympic Committee with the aim of promoting a different perception of disability. On the third day of the festival, underway in Milan at the Fabbrica del Vapore, the Italian Paralympic Committee awarded the Italian Paralympic Award – a prize established by the CIP as a recognition to all those personalities who have made a contribution to the dissemination of Paralympic sport and its values ​​- to the directors of Corriere della Sera Luciano Fontana and of the Repubblica Maurizio Molinari and to the journalist and writer Gian Antonio Stella.

The Italian Paralympic Award was assigned for the news that appeared on the front page of Corriere della Sera and La Repubblica dedicated to the victory of Ambra Sabatini, Martina Caironi, Monica Contrafatto in the 100 meters T63 at the Tokyo Paralympics, a tricolor podium that entered the heart of the Italians. The awards were presented by the president of the Cip Luca Pancalli as part of a ceremony that saw the participation of many guests from the world of sport, entertainment and communication such as Elio and the tense stories, Gianluca Nicoletti, Novella Calligaris, RichardHTT, Simone Barlaam and the 2022 Epyg medal-winning athletes.

We are proud to be able to assign this award to very high level personalities from the world of journalism and culture in our country – explains Pancalli – who have given an important impetus in making the Paralympic sport and its values ​​known to the general public, at the same time stimulating a public reflection on the issue of disability and inclusion. And we are happy to deliver these awards as part of the Paralympic Culture Festival, an event that has the objective of making a contribution to the civil growth of our country.
