Padel and solidarity: personalities from entertainment and sports are on the field in Rome

Padel and solidarity in Rome. The Due Ponti Sporting Club and the “Unici” association together again for a tournament whose proceeds will be donated to one of the most active associations in the field of research on rare genetic diseases. The tournament, open to all, will take place on 18 December starting at 10.30 and will see many personalities from the world of entertainment and sport take to the field as well as simple friends of “Unici”, the association of which the Rai journalist is president Stephen Buttafuococorrespondent of “La Vita in Directe” and next presenter of “The dream hunter”, a program broadcast from January on Raitre dedicated precisely to the themes of
sports and disability. The conductor of ‘La Vita live” Alberto Matano will be present, and with him Stefania Orlando, Manila Nazzaro, Eleonora Daniele, Nunzia De Girolamo. For sport, the former Olympic swimming champion Massimiliano Rosolino, the former world champion with the national football team Simone Perrotta, the former Italian champion with Roma Ubaldo Righetti, the boxers Emanuele Blandamura and Guido Vianello, the ex national fencing, currently TV commentator, Stefano Pantano.

During the day, updates will be given on the projects carried out by the association and in particular on the research project dedicated to the Camk2b mutation. But there will also be talk of a football school for the disabled which will be inaugurated in January in Rome and many other initiatives. Alongside “Unici” the two football teams of the capital. In fact, both Roma and Lazio have made available the shirts of their players which will be auctioned off. These are the words of Emanuele Tornaboni, President of the Due Ponti Sporting Club. “It is the second tournament that we organize for Unici, an association that we have decided
support in their projects. We are and will always be there for events of this kind where social commitment is combined with moments of fun and light-heartedness. Donating is good for research but also for those who make gestures of this kind”.
On the same line Stefano Buttafuoco. “We managed in a very short time to open doors that seemed impassable and this is also thanks to our supporters including this wonderful sports club
made up of special and unique people, like our association”.
