This edition, the twelfth in the history of the exhibition, has Beauty as its main theme. It will be inaugurated by Italy football coach Roberto Mancini

From Wednesday 5th to Sunday 9th October he returns to Macerata Overtime, the national festival of journalism, storytelling and sports ethics which, as per a consolidated tradition, wants to celebrate sport in an original and innovative way. This edition, the twelfth in the history of the exhibition, has Beauty as its main theme. Beauty in sport and sport donated by its protagonists, by its colors, by technical gestures, by the uncertainty of the result, by knowing how to accept a defeat.

The Festival will open on Wednesday 5 in the morning with a series of meetings on the right to sport, but the official inauguration will take place in the evening at 19 with Roberto Mancini, head of the national football team, returned in 2021 to win the European championship after 53 years. The four-day program includes the interventions of other illustrious personalities, athletes, coaches, or managers: among them. Simone Pianigiani, Elisa Di FranciscaRatko Rudic, Sandro Campagna, Gianluca Pagliuca, Ivano Bordon, Andrea Lo Cicero. There was also a large presence of specialized journalists, called both to present books (some of these in national previews) and to hold round tables on various sports topics. Also noteworthy is the theatrical show, on Saturday evening, by the storyteller Federico Buffa: I will retrace – with the contribution of the director Marco Carona and the pianist Alessandro Nidi – Italy’s victorious gallop at the 1982 World Cup. The proceeds of the initiative will be donated to the Marche section of the Italian League of Cystic Fibrosis. Overtime will also involve many school groups because sport is also an opportunity to send messages of tenacity, commitment and loyalty to the younger generations.
