Nelson Piquet sued for sentences against Lula

Nelson Piquet will be denounced for the sentences against the new president of Brazil Lula. The former Brazilian driver, three-time world champion in F1, who had recently been at the center of controversy for having defined Lewis Hamilton as ‘black’, remained the protagonist of a much discussed video in which he heavily insults the newly elected president Lula. The video was shot during a demonstration in favor of Bolsonaro, to whom the former pilot is linked by a close friendship. Piquet appears next to a man who says: “Look who I am here with – says the author of the video-selfie who is traveling around the world – the great champion Nelson Piquet”.

“We will take Lula, that son of a bitch, out of here”, Piquet replies in what, from the context behind the two, seems to be a protest against Lula. “Brazil first of all, God first of all” adds the author of the video, quoting Bolsonaro’s motto. “And Lula, in the cemetery, son of a bitch,” Piquet adds with a laugh. For the latter issue, Humberto Costa, Senator of the Workers’ Party, will be denounced: “We cannot normalize hatred and barbarism”.
