On November 25, 2020, Diego Armando Maradona died prematurely. For Naples and for the Neapolitans today has become a special date, with a series of initiatives that will culminate in the evening with a torchlight vigil outside the Fuorigrotta stadium which today bears the name of the Pibe de Oro. In the meantime, a new massive pilgrimage to the mural in the Spanish Quarters has started yesterday, involving many fans, including Argentines who have come from Argentina.

This morning Corrado Ferlaino, the president of Maradona’s Napoli, the president of the championships and cups, and Edoardo De Laurentiis, current vice president of the blue club, also went to the sort of secular sanctuary that has become this corner of the Spanish Quarter. They both left a wreath in place. Napoli this morning remembered the great champion on their social networks.
