There is also the shepherd of Aurora Quattrocchi, the actress who plays the mother of Pierfrancesco Favino in “Nostalgia” the film by Mario Martone, nominated for an Oscar, in Fabulous Crib by the Scuotto Brothers of “La Scarabattola” which will be presented tomorrow evening at 6 pm, in the basilica of Santa Maria della Sanit. The actress, who captivated critics and the public, having been able to personify the spirit of Rione Sanit, will be present at the evening, which sees the musical accompaniment of the Sanitansamble Youth Orchestra.


A year ago

It was December 24, 2021 when “The Fabulous Crib” was inaugurated in the sacristy of the basilica of Santa Maria della Sanit, the monumental work (360 x 270 cm and 220cm high) that the Scuotto brothers in collaboration with the restorer and crib set designer Biagio Roscigno generously donated to the Rione Sanit on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the activity of their workshop, famous all over the world for knowing how to reinterpret the Neapolitan crib tradition with modernity and creativity. For the occasion, the “Cappella del Tesoro” adjacent to the sacristy of the Basilica will be reopened to the public which, restored thanks to the precious contribution of Ferrarelle-Societ Benefit, will host the anthological exhibition that develops as a precious frame of the Fabulous Crib which will be open to the public and can be visited free of charge from 7 December to 6 January: from Monday to Saturday from 10 to 13 and from 17 to 19, Sunday from 10 to 13. “The Fabulous crib and other stories” will also present to the public the book “The Fabulous Crib of the Sanit District” published by Edizioni San Gennaro with text by Pietro Gargano, preface by Paolo Giulierini and interventions by Federico Vacalebre, Peppe Barra, Pierluigi Freda.
