In the many possible multiverses imagined around the first act of the Napoli-Milan trilogy, no one would have expected such a thing. At most, in the endless psychological games in which we Italians are Olympic champions, one could go so far as to predict a narrow victory for Milan: but to avoid teasing the blissfully dozing dog, would Milan no longer be better suited for a draw? And freewheeling in what Gianni Brera called “masturbatio grillorum”, an endless and tedious display of hypothetical and plausible scenarios swept away, as always happens, by reality.
