There Uefa welcomes into its competitions all those teams that have risked exclusion for their membership in one timeshare (prohibited by article 5 of the regulation to avoid a conflict of interest in the event of participation in the same tournament). . The significant changes made by the clubs and their investors are decisive, according to the UEFA financial control body (CFCB).

The decisive changes

In short, to date it appears that: No company, directly or indirectly, holds or trades securities or shares of any other club that participates in a UEFA competition. No club member of another club, no one has any power over or is simultaneously involved in the management, administration and/or sporting performance of more than one club and no one has control or decisive influence over more than one club in a UEFA competition. More specifically, the significant changes that have been made concern the ownership, governance and financial structure of the teams concerned. Changes that substantially limit investors’ influence and decision-making power over more than one company.

No transfers from one club to another

Furthermore, as further proof of their independence, all the companies concerned have accepted the following conditions: clubs will not transfer players to each other, either on a permanent basis or on loan, directly or indirectly, until September 2024; the clubs will not enter into any type of cooperation, joint technical or commercial agreements; clubs will not use joint scouting or player databases. The First Chamber of the CFCB: will continue to monitor the clubs mentioned above to ensure that the multi-club ownership rule continues to be respected in the future, it specifies in a statement.
