Milan and a derby at 30 per hour: Brady calls, Ibra doesn't answer

It was February 5 last year too. But this Milan derby has a completely different flavour. Inter and Milan are no longer up there watching Serie A from the Madonnina. More on them today is San Gennaro. Inter and Milan have other dreams, a place in the Champions League and then waiting for the Champions League. A year ago the derby came, matchday 24 of a much more advanced championship, with Inter on the run with a 4-point lead at an altitude of 53, the same points that Napoli have today with three games down. The Nerazzurri were ahead until the 75th minute, then Giroud turned around and with him the whole championship. It was the game of the turning point, the one that directed the Scudettoeven more than the points lost by Inter against Bologna. A year later, Inter are still ahead of Milan, but Napoli are very far away. And, whatever happens, the derby will hardly be able to direct a championship that only Spalletti could lose by now. Once again, however, it is a derby that can direct the Milanese season and mark their mood between now and the end of the championship. If Milan were to lose again on Sunday after the very painful knockouts with Lazio and Sassuolo (plus the Super Cup derby) whoever was on fire would risk ending up directly on the spit.
