Match interrupted at Sinigaglia, two fans fell from the stands, one due to illness, the other trying to help him. Treatment in the ambulance, the game resumed after 25′

The tragedy was touched upon in Como, during the Serie B match against Frosinone. A 23-year-old fan of the Lombard club fell ill while he was watching the match. Another supporter made an invasion of the field to ask for the intervention of the Como doctor. Yet another 43-year-old fan hurt himself trying to save him. he fell from the stands and was injured – not seriously – in the face. And he too was rescued in an ambulance.

Naturally, there was a great deal of concern: the match was suspended for over half an hour. In short, the afternoon was dramatic in the blue curve, at Sinigaglia. According to preliminary information, a 23-year-old boy was taken ill, while the other lost his balance and suffered a serious trauma to his face in an attempt to help the boy. All of this happened in the 23rd minute of the second half with a score of 2-0 in favor of the leading away team, when a fan managed to warn the Lariani coach, Moreno Longo. In fact, he overcame the barriers and entered the field to ask the Como club doctor to intervene, as soon as he understood the tragedy that was about to take place a stone’s throw from him. An ambulance and a medical car entered the stadium to provide assistance: the fan victim of the illness was treated directly inside the ambulance and, after about 25 minutes of interruption, the game was able to resume (and in the meantime, as a sign of respect, the fans had removed the banners). For the record, the match ended 2-0 for Frosinone. The goals of Matarese and Caso were decisive.
