The resounding success of Sea out, now in its third season. The series, inaugurated in 2020, conceived and written by Cristiana Farina and Maurizio Careddu, set in Naples, in the Juvenile Detention Institute, and features young inmates struggling with the external calls of families (in the most Camorra sense of the term) and their desire for redemption. They are stories of marginality and juvenile deviance within a pedagogical context of re-education: each story revolves around the need to overcome the logic of belonging.

Sea out perhaps the first great attempt good use of streaming by Rai: the series, in fact, is first proposed on Rai Play in binge watching mode (so that the young audience consumes it all immediately) and then on Rai2 on a weekly basis. Of course, the methods of distribution alone do not justify the success of Sea out.

In addition to personal pasts, some of the boys begin to experience a new feeling, lived in a state of imprisonment but never experienced before in their families, with all the pitfalls that feelings entail. The relationship between Rosa Ricci (Maria Esposito) and Carmine Di Salvo (Massimiliano Caiazzo) is exemplary. The two belong to rival clans, who have always been at war with each other: Rosa entered prison with the task of killing Carmine to avenge the death of her brother, but something new, impalpable stands between the two.

Even the educators, the adults Massimo (Carmine Recano) and Paola (Carolina Crescentini), do not escape the laws of love, the milo that pervades the series.
