Lthe ability to send blood throughout the body has been reduced by 30% and the impossibility of curing the decompensation which will remain as “permanent damage” to the heart muscle seems to be confirmed.

“I have to take it easy,” he told the Dutch press immediately after the latest bulletin was released. And again: «Now it is important to go forward one step at a time». It’s not exactly a great time for the former winger.

Overmars’ resignation came following a discussion with the CEO, Edwin van der Sar, and the supervisory board following reports of “alleged misconduct”.

The former Ajax, Arsenal and Barcelona midfielder – who had held the position of technical director since 2012 – had admitted that his behavior had been “unacceptable” and it was sorry. “I am ashamed.
