There will be no return of Marc Marquez next weekend in Uastin, Texas, where the Grand Prix of the Americas is scheduled. Honda communicates it in a note: “After a last CT scan, Marc Marquez and his medical team, led by Dr. Ignacio Roger de Oña, at the Ruber Internacional hospital in Madrid, have confirmed that the first metacarpal is still in the recovery. After close consultation with the Repsol Honda Team and HRC, all involved have agreed to let the injury heal fully and avoid unnecessary risks. Marquez will continue to carry out his rehabilitation program at home to get back to full fitness as soon as possible”. Cabroncito had repaired the fracture in his right hand on the occasion of the first GP of the season in Portugal and had already forfeited in Argentina. At this point the Spanish rider will try to get back to his home race on 30 April in Jerez.
