From the number of films released in US cinemas between now and the end of the year, 29 (the same number are in the pipeline for 2024), Hollywood seems bet hard on a genre traditionally low-budgetcapable of filling theaters: according to the online research company Comscore, in 2022 horror films generated at the US box office 676 million dollarsa figure equal to 9% of tickets sold throughout the country.
