The new single of the mysterious musician for the soundtrack of the film is out

Of Giuliano Delli Paolo

Liberato sings again. The mantra that accompanies each new release by the Neapolitan pop singer-songwriter appears by surprise at the exact stroke of midnight on March 3 on the artist’s social pages to announce “‘O dj (Don’t give up)”, the single content in the soundtrack of the film «Mixed By Erry» by the Neapolitan director Sidney Sibilia just released in theaters. It is a song with strong Italo disco references, but which at the same time combines Daft Punk and the Eurodance style in vogue in the 90s. Anticipated by a video on TikTok, «’O dj (Don’t give up)» tells a metaphor of love experienced by the protagonist of the film and of the famous story of the most famous tarot of the 80s, Erry, or Enrico Frattasio da Forcella: «I love from the face always cu ‘this case, when it starts it’s scary and don’t give up, tu yes or piezzo, je song or dj, don’t grow up, je co”a music nun ce pazzèo».

Liberato wears the clothes of the DJ and stages a night of pure madness lived between the console and the arms of a woman which for the occasion represents the free spirit of music, through verses that once again alternate the now customary broccolino, a hybrid language between English and the Neapolitan dialect spoken mostly by the Italian Americans of Brooklyn: «Be right now, song’ ‘ e 4 ‘a matina, nu cuofano ‘e cristiane, sta fernenno ‘a fetenzj. Big time now, fatt e ca** tuoje. ‘A gente fick fick, marò aro’ m puort tonight, aiza chella track, I love from your face, t’attiggj and t’amaniggj, they know you in Paris and what are you doing!». For Liberato it is the first single after “Liberato II”, the second album by the musician released last year. A half-announced release, as it is included in the music of the Sibilia film, and which inflames the fans in view of «Tournamm’ a cas’», the double live in Plebiscito scheduled for 16 and 17 September.
