Same name, Lucio. Almost the same date of birth. On 4 and 5 March 1943, eighty years ago, two protagonists of the song were born: Lucio Dalla and Lucio Battisti. On February 19, another protagonist of our story would have turned 70, this time in theater and cinema: Massimo Troisi. «La Lettura» celebrates them in the new issue, #585, previewed on the App on Saturday 11 February and on newsstands on Sunday 12, with a text by Massimo Zamboni – on Dalla and Battisti – and one of Maurice de Giovanni — who writes about Troisi.

To the three anniversaries, we also add that of Bambi which, before becoming the famous and heartbreaking Disney cartoon, was born in Vienna in a novel a century ago: Roberta Scorranese writes about it.

Many conversations cross the insert: the comparison between Luciano Canfora and Ettore Cinnella, edited by Antonio Carioti, on the figure of Stalin 70 years after his death; the dialogue between the physicist Federico Faggin and the physiologist Simone Sarasso curated by Annachiara Sacchi on measurability of consciousness; that of Telmo Pievani with the Japanese neuroscientist Ken Mogi on the balance of “nagomi”, the royal road of Zen, in times of restlessness. The two authors talk about language and writing on the occasion of the release (on the 15th for Bompiani) of the new book by Scego, Cassandra in Mogadishu, a letter to her niece who lives in Canada in which the author reconstructs the genealogy of their family dispersed by dictatorship and war.
