Of Salvatore Riggio

The Czech player stopped in his car in Prague by agents who, among other things, had withdrawn his driving license months ago. Hence Sparta Prague’s decision to put him out of the squad

Only a few weeks ago Jakub Jankto, in Italy with a past in Ascoli (2015-2016), Udinese (2016-2018) and Sampdoria (2018-2021), had come out in a world in which it is really difficult to this daring step. Now he has been knocked out of the squad at Sparta Prague and the reason has nothing to do with football.

What happened to the midfielder? According to the PrahaIN.cz website, on April 18 Jankto was stopped by the police for a check while driving his car. The agents had stopped the footballer following a report from another motorist, who had noticed a vehicle that was traveling incorrectly. So the agents carried out an alcohol test, which resulted negative, but the footballer then refused to undergo that drug and the subsequent medical test. Not only. Because during the checks the police discovered that the midfielder did not have a driving licence, which was withdrawn from him a few months ago. The driver’s breath test came back negative. However, the driver refused the subsequent drug test and also refused a medical examination, these are the words of the Prague police spokesman, who then added: The man’s driving license had been officially withdrawn in recent months.

Hence Sparta Prague’s decision to put him out of the squad, complete with a press release: Jakub Jankto will be absent from first team work to attend to personal matters. The club’s management arranged a meeting with him in response to the traffic incident. Now I will focus on his personal situation. The club will not provide any further information about the player. We ask the public and the media not to interfere in his personal life, he reads.
