Jacobs stops again, also skips the European team championships – Corriere.it

The Olympic champion of the 100m, Marcell Jacobs, will miss the European Games in Poland at the end of June due to sciatic nerve problems. The sprinter, in agreement with the federation, is aiming for the world championship event in Budapest in August. Jacobs, therefore, will not take part in the European Championships which will take place from 23 to 25 June in Chorzow (Poland). He was diagnosed with a condition of perineural inflammation with vascular stasis of the sciatic emergency at the level of the ischial foramen of the right thigh as reported by the federal medical staff. Jacobs returned to racing last Friday at the Diamond League meeting in Paris, finishing seventh in the 100m race won by American Noah Lyles.
