A 20-year-old boy turns the life of a 15-year-old and her family upside down, making it a nightmare. “She is mine, she is no longer yours”, says the boy, Riccardo Mandolini, to Edoardo Leo who plays the girl’s father, Greta Gasbarri, and came out “devastated” by this experience.

A boy five years older enters the life of a minor like a tsunami and transforms her, steals her soul. The very young Greta, with cat-like eyes that pierce, says that “it is a topic that is rarely talked about but that it does exist”.

Greta has always known Melinda, Ivano’s daughter, who as usual wrote the film together with Valentina Ferlan, her partner of 34 years. «Certain scenes embarrassed me, I remember when I said to Greta, now he’s going to kiss you underneath. It was like talking to my daughter about sex. It’s a film written by parents, rather than screenwriters. Our children’s friends helped us, telling us about dynamics unknown to adults ».

There are neologisms from their world that are almost a parallel language. Ivano tiptoed into this story: «I had a sense of helplessness. We shared our fears.”

The boy does not have the cliché of the villain: “He does not take drugs, he has verbal and not physical violence, indeed it is her father who will slap him, while the boy’s father, Vinicio Marchioni, is someone who is financially well” .

The boy suffocates her, isolates her, exerts enormous psychological pressure on her. That she’s attracted to her physicality, the fact that she’s bigger and spins, and has her bike, he’s a streamer with like; he was looking for a pretty girl “who would look older with her lipstick”. When she makes love to us, he’ll say a horrendous phrase: “I did.” But he still has the sense of possession of her, which is a perversion, she won’t be able to go out with other boys even if he, having accomplished the brutal urge of her as a male, has left her. And as a coward she will react with revenge porn, she will spread a video that is the antechamber of the epilogue.

Edoardo Leo drives an ambulance in the film, he is the one who saves lives and is now powerless in front of a boy who calls his daughter fifty times a day. The father is emotional, sometimes preferring to know nothing; her mother, Milena Mancini, is more rational, more capable of listening to her daughter. The director wanted to make a film about two happy parents who give birth to a daughter who is the fruit of their love. “And this I think she is a great love story.”
