Italy Polo Challenge, Harpa – HPE triumphs in Piazza di Siena: Facello, Cusmano and Llorente champions

The triumph of Harpa – HPE in the Piazza di Siena stage of the Italia Polo Challenge bears the signature of Fabrizio Facello, Therence Cusmano and Pedro Llorente. In a splendid final, played on the sand field of the Galoppatoio in front of packed stands (thousand spectators took turns in the stands), Harpa – HPE prevailed with a goal and a half lead (7-5 ​​1/2) over US Polo Assn., which saw the blues Stefano Giansanti, Fabrizio Murgolo and Patricio Rattagan on the field. Thus ends another stage of the arena polo circuit organized in collaboration with the Italian Equestrian Sports Federation, which brought hundreds of people to follow the event over the three days of competition, accompanied by an exceptional speaker: the actor Roberto Ciufoli, a great polo enthusiast who joined the microphone with the historic voice of Italian polo, Gian Luca Magini. Third place went to Union (Massimo Giambarresi, Goffredo Cutinelli Rendina, Paolo Grillini), who beat Engel & Völkers (Davide Fioranelli, Angel Valdez, Miguel Lagos Marmol) 8-6 1/2. The third and final stage of the Italia Polo Challenge 2023 is scheduled from 19 to 22 July in Sardinia, on the Abbiadori field.

Before the third stage of the Italia Polo Challenge in Porto Cervo (19-22 July), however, the great polo will also stop in Punta Ala, in Tuscany, where the women’s European Championships will take place from 3 to 9 of the same month. “The Punta Ala golf course, which has returned to shine thanks to the contribution of Gaia Bulgari, will be a splendid setting for an unmissable event – underlines the head of the Fise polo department, Alessandro Giachetti -.
