InYourShoes unites continents: from Kenya to Nepal, running shoes for those in need

“We bridge continents”, this is the motto of the InYourShoes project. This initiative was born in 2017 by a group of guys who decided to collect and give away used running shoes to young Kenyan athletes. This year the project includes a new destination: Nepal. In March they will fly to the highest mountains on Earth, bringing with them trekking shoes donated by the Italian outdoor community.
The purpose of the expedition is to support Nepalese Sherpas who walk hundreds of kilometers without suitable footwear, risking their lives for a few dollars a day to support their families. For the first time, Sherpa women, who have been fighting for several years to see their rights recognized, will also be the recipients of this mission. InYourShoes launches a message of inclusiveness and sharing.
