Internationals of Italy: Rune beats Ruud and goes to the final. Wait for the winner of Medvedev-Tsitsipas

ROME – The eightieth edition of the Internazionali Bnl d’Italia has its first finalist, and it is a young suitor. His name is Holger Rune, he is 20 years old and comes from Denmark. He defeated the Norwegian Casper Ruud in the semifinals, a sort of Scandinavian derby, after two hours and 43 minutes of play: 6-7, 6-4, 6-3.

Now Rune awaits the winner of the other semifinal, the one between Daniil Medvedev and Stefanos Tsitsipas. In the evening the women’s title will be awarded between the Ukrainian Anhelina Kalinina and the Kazakh (of Muscovite origin) Elena Rybakina.
