On the day of the shareholders’ meeting of Inter – approved the financial statements as at 30 June 2022, which highlights the new record turnover of 439.6 million euros and a reduction in losses of over 105 million compared to the previous year – the president Steven Zhang has returned to address the issue of the company and the possible sale, reaffirming the planning for the future (“Our commitment is long-term”he said). Inter who is looking for a new jersey sponsor. This was admitted by the CFO Alessandro Antonello, recounting the difficulties encountered by DigitalBits in fulfilling the economic commitments undertaken. About 17 million euros have jumped, “they were not paid by the sponsor with reasons justifying their conduct that are considered unfounded by our lawyers,” said Antonello. He then explained how the Nerazzurri club is in negotiations “aimed at an amicable resolution of the dispute”, but that in the meantime the club has started “various discussions to find a possible new jersey partner, so that he can take over as soon as possible”.
Zhang opened the meeting by addressing the members with a balance sheet of the years marked by the health emergency: «In this complex period many things have changed, but not our love for Inter and our passion. These have been 3 difficult years, but we have faced them together with determination and ambition, winning 3 titles after 11 years of waiting. We had the courage to face the pandemic with dynamism and the ability to win and remain at the top ».
