By June 2023, Italy too, like the other Member States of the European Union, will have to submit to the Commission the proposal for the revision of the Integrated National Energy and Climate Plan (Pniec), the tool with which the Member States of the EU identify policies and measures to achieve the Goals for the energy transition and the fight against climate change. Once presented, the Plan must be definitively approved within a year and will remain in force until 2030. It is therefore very important that it contains the appropriate measures to lead Italy on a path of sustainability.

The theme is at the center of the meeting organized by ASviS “A new Pniec for the exit from fossil fuels. Ten recommendations for drafting the new Integrated National Energy and Climate Plan” with the aim of stimulating public debate and suggesting 10 recommendations useful for making the integrated national energy and climate plan suitable for facing the challenges that await us in the coming years.

To present the document there will be Enrico Giovanniniscientific director of ASviS, with Anthony Frederickcoordinator of the ASviS working groups on Objectives 7-13 (Energy and Climate) of the 2030 Agenda and coordinator of the technical-scientific committee of the Foundation for sustainable development, Andrew Poggio, sustainable mobility manager of Legambiente. The meeting will be moderated by Stefano Secondino from Ansa.
