Mohamed Ihattaren had been loaned to Sampdoria but had fled Genoa to return to the Netherlands. He then he had been threatened by some criminals for dating a girl, finally arrested for violence. Now the return to Turin

Complaints, arrests, threats, escapes: for Mohamed Ihattaren
(former) prospectus of Dutch football which to all intents and purposes remains a Juventus member, could all be behind you.

The former Ajax and PSV, after his arrest just over a week ago for alleged violence against his ex-girlfriend, has officially returned to Turinwhere in the last year and a half (he was bought by the Juventus club in the summer of 2021) very little had been seen. Juve had immediately loaned him to Sampdoriaconvinced she could guarantee herself the playing time necessary to impose herself and play her cards right in Turin the following season, but Ihatteren was practically never seen in Liguria.

Arrived in a state of form far removed from that of an average athlete, the Dutchman had only spent a few weeks in Genoa and then escape to Holland making him lose track and without notifying anyone. Some time later he broke his silence: “At Sampdoria I was never paid or calculated, the coach didn’t even know I was left-handed,” he said. Then he decided to leave the Raiola stable, thus changing agent but returning to train at home, in Utrecht.

Juve, for its part, managed to find an agreement with Ajax to allow Ihattaren to play with the «Jong» team (the Primavera): 5 appearances, 4 goals, the brief illusion of a new beginning and just after a another tantrum of his, this time as a victim. The Dutchman would in fact have been threatened by very unsavory people for dating a girl (obviously to be kept at a distance according to some code). First he and then his brother’s car are burned and apparent links with the mafia emerge. At that point Ajax avoided redemption by Juve, Ihattaren returned to the vortex and, just over a week ago, was arrested, again in Holland, on charges of violence against his ex-girlfriend. But today he is back in Italy. The Dutchman shared a video on Instagram showing frames from Turin, the Allianz Stadium and some training sessions. The form is what it is, but in the meantime Juve (and not only) are hoping it’s the right time to recover a golden talent with monsters on their mind.
