Sam Allardyce has a new mission: save Leeds than in an almost desperate situation in the Premier League. The 1975 European champions, in fact, are at the moment third bottom together with Leicester and Nottingham Forestoutside the relegation zone only for goal differenceand they just announced the sacking of Javi Gracia and the appointment, in fact, of the former coach Allardyce.

The new appointee, 68, has an almost impossible mission ahead of him: the opponents of the last four rounds are Manchester City fighting for the Scudetto, Newcastle United, West Ham United and Tottenham Hotspur, three teams from the top of the table and the Hammers direct rivals for safety.

Despite this, Allardyce feels perfectly up to the task and indeed, assures: I’m 68 and no one better than me in terms of football: not Pep Guardiola, not Jurgen Klopp, not Mikel Arteta, the coaches of City, Liverpool and Arsenal. And, thinking of tomorrow’s home away game for the leaders, he adds. Let’s start with an easy match, nothing can be easier than Manchester City, right?
