Hernanes “the prophet”, writes a book in which he reinterprets the Bible- Corriere.it

Prophet by name (indeed, nickname) and in fact. Hernanes, who was appreciated in Italy with Lazio, Inter and Juventus shirts, is back in the limelight for other reasons, other than football ones. The Brazilian midfielder even proposed a new, personal interpretation of the Bible. They told it from Brazil: the portal wrote it «Headtopics Brazil» which tells of the former player’s last literary effort, “The Prophet’s Letter”. At the moment Hernanes is busy with grand presentations and autographs, as happened to him in the past when he played football.

Arrived in Italy thanks to Claudio Lotito’s Lazio, the former midfielder analyzes the Old and New Testaments in his work and, we read, proposes an unpublished version, without paradigms, of the Bible. The Brazilian, as a bearer of faith, wants to “redeem the original meaning of what the Gospel, the message of Jesus and faith are”, specifying that it is wrong today to interpret the Bible with the same “paradigm of 2000 years ago”. Like most Brazilians, too Hernanes he is very religious and has entrusted his life and his choices to Jesus, God. Now he has a great goal in mind: that of analyzing the Old and the New Testament and adapting everything to modern society. Will he succeed?

Another great passion of his is wine. On the Asti Langhe, renowned for excellent bottles and great vineyards, Hernanes opened in 2016 his winery with a non-random name on the Nebbiolo hills in the town of Montaldo Scarampi. Wine excites him and for some time the player has even been working on the vineyard like all his collaborators. However, the entrepreneurial reality is not just wine, because Hernanes has also created a luxury resort in the same area, where there is no shortage of starred chefs and environments worthy of a luxury cellar, which surround a rapidly expanding and growing sector. The names assigned to the bottles reflect the theme and nickname of the footballer, who has always been very devoted to God. «Ephraim», which recalls the Genesis of the Bible, is the label given to his favorite wine, Barbera, while «Saudade» ( Portuguese word which translates as «desire, nostalgia») is the one given to Grignolino.
