Green&Blue Festival 2023. Milan: scientists, associations and companies compared

A bridge made of ideas, debates, concerts between the Environment Day and Oceans Day. The Green&Blue Festival after the big event at the Colosseum in Rome he moves in Milan from 6 to 8 June, where on stage at the IBM Studios and at the BAM, Parco Biblioteca degli Alberi, we will talk about ecological transition and the protection of the planet thanks to the interventions of scientists, entrepreneurs, activists and personalities of music and culture. Not random spectators will also intervene in the audience, because there will be a hundred PhD students of the master’s degree in Sustainable Development, coordinated by the University of Pavia. All events are free and to attend the concerts, or see the photographic exhibitions and projections, just show up at the BAM; to access the debates, just register online on the Green&Blue website, or do it at the entrance to the IBM Studios. The meetings of the Festival will give scientific information, they will serve to reflect on what it means to commit to making the “One Land for All” principle a reality. With this goal, the first day of the Milanese session of the Festival will present some of the startups that throughout Italy are researching environmental sustainability to make it a business thanks to the collaboration with PoliHub, the structure of the Politecnico di Milano dedicated to innovation and business. The representatives of the startups will present the products and technologies for the energy transition to an audience of investors, company managers, universities and institutions: they will talk about energy storage, energy generation, energy management, development of technology for the use of hydrogen and CO? capture. Again, startups for sustainable mobility and construction, for the circular economy and waste treatment, for the management of water and natural resources will be presented. Among the startups present, seven developed projects from Encubator scouting and accelerator programborn thanks to the collaboration between Milan Chamber of Commerce, PoliHub and Milan Polytechnic also thanks to the PNRR funds dedicated to the University. In Milan, these loans make it possible to implement the MUSA programme, created to accelerate the development of projects in the field of sustainability and make the most of their potential.

In the morning of June 7th space for one of the central themes for the ecological transition, lo development of plants and technologies for renewable energy with a focus on solar, photovoltaic, nuclear and energy communities. On stage there will be researchers such as the experimental physicist Roberto Battiston and the energy expert of the Cnr Nicholas Armaroli. Nuclear power will be discussed with the president of the Infn Alberto Zoccoliwith Umberto Minopolipresident of the Italian Nuclear Association and with Riccardo DeSalvor, fourth generation nuclear expert. The scientific director of the Kyoto Club will intervene for the associations Gianni Silvestrinithe presidents of Legambiente, Stephen Ciafani and the Italian Environment Fund, Mark Magnificent. Business confederations will be represented by Ettore Prandinipresident of Coldiretti, e Agostino Re Rebaudengo of future electricity. The final panel will be dedicated to biodiversity, with particular attention to the theme of water and the oceans. We will talk about the European 30/30 strategy, conflicts between human activities and wildlife, enhancement of the natural heritage from both an economic and cultural point of view and conservation projects. Among the protagonists with the Minister of the Sea Nello Musumeci, Robert Danovaromarine biologist who has held numerous positions in the study of the oceans, Giorgia Gaibani of the lipu, Piero Genoese of Ispra, Rosalba Giugnipresident of Marevivo, Serene Milan of Slow Food Italy, Anna Piranihead of the IPCC Technical Unit, Isabella Pratesi of WWF Italy, the economist Paul Quattrone And Julia Viscontidirector of the Marine Protected Area “Capo Milazzo”.

On the evenings of 7 and 8 June, music will also take sides in the environmental battle with two shows curated by Ernesto Assante, in which singers, artists and activists will intervene. Among the names already confirmed (but surprises are expected) Thomas Paradise, Levant, Coma_Things, Venus.
