[ad_1]

Without necessarily being part of associations or activist groups, every day it is possible to take concrete actions to protect the Earth. It proves it GoFundMe, a platform that this year for World Earth Day is launching a page dedicated to environmental protection campaigns: GoFundGreen. It’s called “Invest in our Planet” the focus to urge governments, businesses, citizens to invest in the most precious asset we have, our planet.

The latest UN report, the IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) report, signed by thousands of scientists from 195 countries, is clear: the only solution is to take action immediately, reverse course to mitigate change climate.

GoFundGreen initiatives are examples of environmental awareness that feeds on participation: from the actions of the association Come on from Alberito improve the air quality of the city of Rome, through the planting of trees, to the project Blue Carbonto restore the meadows of Posidonia oceanica (aquatic plant essential for the production of oxygen) in Liguria, in the Marine Protected Area of Isola Bergeggi, passing through those who dream of studying applied oceanography to contribute to the protection of the ocean, the case of Frances Sosterfrom Biella, environmental researcher and educator in Malta.

An important milestone was achieved, for example, by Forestry Consortium Kilometro Verde Parma which, last March 21, inaugurated a new green lung in Parma, the Bosco Urbano of the Gino Cervi Park in the Molinetto district. In less than a year, about 900 trees and shrubs have been planted on an area of 9,000 square meters. The project was financed by the Consortium with integrated resources thanks to a fundraiser in which citizens and companies in the Parma area took part.
