The Swiss race concluded on Sunday with the final success of the Danish Trek-Segafredo Matthias Skjelmose. Only 110 of the 161 starters of the stage race reached the finish line in Abtwil. After Gino Mäder’s death, three teams and many other individual riders (37 in all) decided not to start the last two stages. The show, or what was left of it, still went ahead.
