Why should we be ashamed of fascism ”(Mondadori, pp. 349, euro 19). A book that lists and describes the misdeeds of Mussolini and the regime he established: the suppression of trade union and political freedoms, the persecution (often to death) of political opponents (Giacomo Matteotti, Giovanni Amendola, Piero Gobetti, Antonio Gramsci, Carlo and Nello Rosselli, are only the most illustrious names), the infamous racial laws, the crimes against other peoples (in Libya, in Ethiopia), the aggressions against France, Greece, Russia. For more than 300 pages Cazzullo gives an accurate reconstruction of all these crimes and misdeeds.
