From Messi and Paltrinieri to Goggia, Buffa recounts the champions and feats of sport – Corriere.it

The great stories of sport and a journey made up of dialogues with Federico Ferri, director of Sky Sport, and Federico Buffa who accompanies the viewer in a journey between present and memory, champions and great companies. The new Sky format started last Saturday, April 15, on Sky and streaming on Now. The atmosphere of the program is that of a context of friends, travel companions, curiosities and questions about the greatest sports champions in six episodes.

Basketball and soccer

The first stage was dedicated to the Basketball World Cup, scheduled for the end of August, with the South Sudan qualification, homeland of Manute Bol, NBA star and national hero, always on the front line for his people. From basketball to football, with Lionel Messi, king of the World Cup with Argentina, a very important victory, full of meaning, especially after the death of Maradona. Messi reveals it with a special dedication: This cup also belongs to Diego who helped us from heaven. And finally, Sofia Goggia, ski champion with a palmares of four downhill world cups.

The interview with Paltrinieri

The second episode aired on Monday 17 April at 10 pm is a discussion with Gregorio Paltrinieri, punctuated by memories of her first experiences in the water with her father, up to the first victories that directed her career and the more recent ones that have seen her transformed. Swimming as a lifestyle, non-pool sports passions, such as the NBA and the great Kobe Bryant, as a source of inspiration. In the interview Gregorio Paltrinieri says: One thing I really wanted in my life would have been to meet Kobe, and be able to talk to him. Comparisons and reflections with the honorary recognition of the athletes of the Aquamore Milano Bocconi Sport Center, often the home of swimmers’ training sessions in Milan, who read some excerpts from his autobiographical book The weight of water. The song Playing for time, Peter Gabriel’s single that perfectly represents the spirit and meaning of the new original Sky Sport production, acts as a background to Buffa’s narration.
