«Fondazione Vialli and Mauro Golf Cup» the 18th edition kicks off on 8 May – Corriere.it

It will be the first edition without Gianluca Vialliwho passed away at the beginning of last January, and as always with a rich cast of participants, the 18th edition of the Vialli and Mauro Golf Cup Foundation, a charity golf competition organized by the non-profit organization of the same name. The date on May 8th: professionals, celebrities and amateurs will be together on the green to raise funds for ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis) Research. The appointment at the Barlassina Country Club in Lentate sul Seveso (Monza Brianza). Among the expected protagonists Michel Platini, Andriy Shevchenko, Gianfranco Zola, Attilio Lombardo. Among the professionals, Campillo Jorge, Matthew Baldwin, Rafa Cabrera Bello, Stephen Gallacher.

For 18 years – underlines Massimo Mauro – we have dedicated ourselves with passion and commitment to the organization of the Vialli and Mauro Golf Cup Foundation, born thanks to an idea shared with our friends and supporters Peppo and Antonella Canonica. When we started in 2004, we wanted to win a game that would be much better than any football game, that is, to help arrive at a drug for ALS patients, who today have no hope, because ALS is a disease that has no treatment. We believe in it today more than ever, that’s why we won’t stop. We owe it to Luca, ourselves and our supporters. The funds raised will be donated to AriSLA – (Italian Foundation for ALS Research). To date, the Vialli and Mauro Foundation has donated over 4 million euros to research. Partners of the event will be the companies Celada, Erg and Norqain Italy.
