Florence Marathon, over 7,500 members «What a boom, a certified success»

Over 7,500 subscriptions. On the day of the closing of registrations, the 38th edition of the Florence Marathon 2022 achieved the goal desired by the organizers. One week before the start, set for Sunday 27 November, a note explains, «the success and restart of the event are now a certified reality». Last year, the edition of the restart after the Covid period, there were 4,500 members and 3,850 actual starters. The countdown has therefore officially begun for all the events that characterize the week preceding the race, starting from Wednesday 23 November with the official presentation of the event, the two days of school leverage organized by Atletica Firenze Marathon, the two days of the Marathon Expo and then, the awaited race on Sunday 27 November with departure at 8.30 from Piazza Duomo and the arrival in the same evocative setting.

THE ROUTE – The route with start and finish in the heart of the city, in Piazza Duomo, has also been confirmed for this edition. Other squares, such as Piazza della Repubblica and Piazza Santa Maria Novella, will be used for support services for runners, such as refreshments, pre-heating, massage services and storage of race bags.
