F1: Pierre Gasly signs with Alpine team, Nyck de Vries with AlphaTauri

French driver Pierre Gasly (AlphaTauri) has signed a contract with Alpine. From next season he will form a pair of French drivers with Esteban Ocon. This was announced by the French Formula 1 team, on the sidelines of the Japanese Grand Prix. Gasly will replace the Spaniard Fernando Alonso, who is leaving for Aston Martin.
Dutch driver Nyck de Vries has instead signed with AlphaTauri for 2023 and will replace Pierre Gasly. De Vries, 27, will join Japanese Yuki Tsunoda in the Red Bull satellite team.
